After a brief hiatus, Edible San Francisco is back under new ownership and a bold vision to show what’s really happening on both sides of the kitchen door.
My name is Melody Saradpon, and I’m the new Editor-in-Chief and publisher of Edible SF.
This rebirth of EAT.DRINK.THINK. remains FREE and accessible to all. Unlike most food media that’s comfortable with pretty pictures and polished press releases, I’m committed to telling the complete story of food in this city — from migrant farm workers to MICHELIN stars, from back alley vendors to underground food labs.
Most importantly, I want to show you all a hidden world that thrives after dark. Where the culinary industry goes after hours, and why it’s remained controversially confidential.
Each newsletter will open with a fragment of truth — sometimes beautiful and sometimes brutal — because I believe food media should be as raw, real, and diverse as the industry itself.

Summer 2025 is our first issue release. Each quarterly magazine will dive deeper into themes that define San Francisco’s complex food system, and to examine what we pay, who profits, and what’s lost in the exchange.
